means for you

The Schleswig-Holstein Energy Transition and Climate Protection Act (EWKG) was passed in December 2021. Among other things, Section 9 of this law stipulates a mandatory use of renewable energies . This means that every owner is obligated to use at least 15% renewable energy (such as a heat pump of any type) for heating when replacing or installing a new heating system in buildings older than January 2009 .

The corresponding implementing regulation came into force on November 18, 2022.

Heat pumps draw energy from the free heat potential of our nature. This energy is either taken from the ground, groundwater or the air. Electricity serves as the primary energy to drive the heat pump. With one kilowatt hour of electricity, however, up to four kilowatt hours of heating can be generated. Ambient heat is a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution, especially in better insulated houses. It can be used on its own for heating, but can also be combined with other heat sources as a hybrid heater.
